THE WINE
Lifted aromatics of white nectarine and mandarin citrus. The palate shows generous volume and sweetness of fruit. Purity of white nectarine, crunchy pear, white florals and orange citrus create a mouthwatering finish. A crisp balanced wine with length.
THE VINTAGE
Vintage 2026 was a slow, protracted season — a cool, wet start followed by heat spikes and late rain, settling into ideal conditions through to a classic cool-night, warm-day autumn finish. Yields were down across the region, but fruit concentration and terroir expression are exceptional. Chardonnay shows vibrant purity and elegance; Pinot Noir shows deep flavour concentration with classic Yarra Valley character. The slow ripening has given the wines a strong balance of freshness and aging potential.
VITICULTURE + WINEMAKING
A longer and cooler ripening period provided an intensity in the freshness of fruit. As always, harvest was determined by grape flavour and acid balance. Harvested just before dawn ad pressed immediately upon receival to the winery. The natural cold allowed an extended settling time prior to racking into ferment. Post fermentation, some lees stirring enhanced the mouthfeel and volume of the wine. Bottled in its youth to showcase its fruit and brightness.
FOOD MATCH
House smoked Trout with horseradish yogurt and picked vegetables.
